Biography & Experience

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with 25 years experience. The majority of that time I worked as a senior Psychotherapist in the NHS. I have also had a private practice throughout that time. I am very committed to the ideas that underpin psychoanalytic psychotherapy as I have seen the positive outcomes of therapy for patients over many years.

My special interest is depression in women throughout their lifespan but more especially throughout pregnancy and beyond.

I established the first post natal depression groups in the NHS 20 years ago .

I have written about the experience and lectured widely to other health professionals including Midwives and Health Visitors.

I am a registered member of the British Psychotherapy foundation (BPF) and the larger umbrella organisation of the British Psychoanalytic Council. As a member of these organisations I have to complete Continuing Professional Development every year and cannot work unless registered.

My consulting room is in Ilmington, South Warwickshire.
